You know how I was asking how to stretch my new shoes so they didn’t rip my feet apart? Well, I looked it up and one site said to take ziplock bags, put them in the shoes, fill them with water and freeze them overnight. The idea is that since ice expands as it freezes, it would slowly stretch the shoes and hold them there.
So I did it last night and it worked pretty well! I still have to wear them in a little bit because the material is still stiff but they’re not gouging the sides of my feet or smooshing my pinkie toes into blister oblivion anymore.
The real test will be walking a descent distance in them but I’ve been wearing them around the house and so far so good. I might do it again tonight and tilt them so they stretch out the heels if I can.
So yeah, if you have tight shoes, try this! Easy and free! (and everyone loves free.)
