I immediately jumped on this DIY because this is exactly what I have done at home! I used to have a ‘proper’ tv unit. I couldn’t afford anything very expensive and ended up with a very dodgy unit that rocked if you touched it. For something I was putting one of the most expensive things I owned on to be so shoddy…not very smart. I had an old dresser that I didn’t know what to do with so with a clever Dad and some tools we were able to convert it to a unit. And when you think about it, it makes sense. Big drawers for DVDs, CDs and - if you still use them - videos! With a hole drilled in the back of the unit big enough for your cord to poke through you can fit in your units. And the biggest plus - the old units were built super sturdy so you know it’s not going to rock over and take your tv and everything else with it!
